To fund this website, I accept paid advertising and use affiliate links. Here’s an overview of my different sources of income for the sake of transparency.
I hand select adverts for my site. Typically, I’ll only accept advertising for products or services that I think my readers will benefit from.
ADVERTORIALS / PAID EDITORIAL
If I run a paid editorial/advertorial on this site (e.g. if a brand are paying for a piece of content) this will be clearly marked. I’ll only ever accept paid content that is high quality, and that I think my readers will benefit from.
Some outbound links on this site are tracked by merchants (such as Amazon, StudioPress, MailChimp etc) who will pay me a small percentage commission on any sales that come as a result of visitors clicking from my site.
You’ll find this common practice on a HUGE range of sites: blogs, magazines and newspapers. The commission is at NO EXTRA COST TO YOU as the buyer, the price is always the same whether you use my link or not.
I earn affiliate revenue though the following networks. This is NOT an exhaustive list:
As per the Amazon Operating Agreement I have to state that I am a participant in the Amazon Australia Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to amazon.com.au.
I am also a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to amazon.com.
If I get paid to review a product or piece of software, or given a product or piece of software for free in exchange for a review, I will always disclose this first and foremost. I will always give my candid, honest opinion. I never agree to review a product/service if I was briefed or coexed into what to write in my review.
If you want to learn any more, or find out how any of the above works, just contact me.
